Anthony's Stamps & Coins is a family-rooted buyer of coins, stamps, paper currency, and collectibles, founded in 1958 and based in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. Rather than running a storefront, the company sends its buyers to the customer's home, office, bank, or safe deposit box, reviews the entire collection in person, and pays in full on the spot, so nothing has to be packed or shipped. It buys complete collections, estates, accumulations, sets, gold and silver, and certified coins, and serves collectors, families, attorneys, and estates across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest. Anthony's is a PCGS and NGC authorized dealer, an ANA member, and an active eBay seller since 1997 with more than 121,000 positive feedback ratings.
Challenge
Most of the people Anthony's wants to reach are not collectors. They are heirs and executors who have just inherited a closet full of albums and have no idea what any of it is worth, and they are wary of buyers who cherry-pick the best pieces or ask them to ship valuables to a stranger. The company's decades of history, dealer credentials, and eBay track record were its strongest proof, but its web presence did not put that proof in front of a nervous first-time seller or explain how a visit works.
