About UMEX Moving & Storage
UMEX Moving & Storage is a New Jersey moving and storage company based at 18 Passaic Avenue in Fairfield. Its founder entered the moving industry in 1989 and started his first moving company in 1996, and its philosophy is that it does not just manage moves, it manages relationships. UMEX handles residential moves of apartments, furniture, and pianos; office and commercial relocations; antique and senior moves; moving labor; packing; and long-distance moves by shared or exclusive truck. Storage sits in its own 5,000-square-foot Fairfield warehouse with security systems and inventory tracking, where every mover is trained on real furniture. It serves eleven northern and central New Jersey counties plus Manhattan, the Bronx, and Rockland County, holds New Jersey, New York, and US DOT licenses, and carries a BBB A+ rating.
Challenge
Northern New Jersey is thick with moving companies, DIY truck rentals, and portable containers, and the people choosing between them care about the same few things: a clear price, furniture that arrives unscratched, a crew that shows up on time, and someone who answers the phone. UMEX had the substance, from written guaranteed or hourly quotes and pre-move item reviews to CDL-licensed drivers trained in its own warehouse, but it needed a website that put those promises and its licenses in front of a homeowner and made requesting a quote the obvious next step. It also wanted to rank in the counties it serves and grow phone calls and form leads. SmartSites set out to design and build a WordPress site that turns a relationship-first mover's proof into quote requests.

- Design & UX: Opened with a 'Time To Migrate?' hero carrying Google and Yelp star ratings with review counts, 30-plus-years and 3,000-plus satisfied-customer counters, a click-to-call number, and a Request A Quote button.
- Service pages: Launched pages for residential, apartment, furniture, and piano moving, commercial and office moving, antique and senior moves, moving labor, storage, and long-distance options including shared trucks, exclusive trucks, multiple movers, and indirect moves.
- Location pages: Built an Areas We Serve section with pages for Middlesex, Hudson, Bergen, Essex, Union, Passaic, Morris, Somerset, Hunterdon, Monmouth, and Sussex counties plus Manhattan, the Bronx, and Rockland County.
- Trust & resources: Added an About page with the company's promises, licenses, and warehouse training story, a How It Works process flow, and resources for moving insurance, FAQs, a gallery, moving tips, and a blog, ending in a contact form with a subject selector.
