Website migration services

Website migrations that keep your rankings.

Moving to a new platform, domain or design? Our SEO team and in-house developers map every URL, carry over what earned your rankings, test before launch and watch every page after it, with the traffic in your own live Client Hub.

A migration team that protects the traffic you’ve earned.

Everything a safe migration needs, before, during and after launch.

Site and hosting migrations for 200+ clients in the last three years, from Wix to WordPress, WordPress and WooCommerce to Shopify, BigCommerce to Shopify, and other hosts to ours. URL mapping, redirects, testing, monitoring and the new build itself, handled by one team.

URL mapping & redirects

We crawl the old site and pull every URL with traffic, rankings or backlinks, then map each one to its new home with a one-to-one 301 redirect, so visitors, search engines and the links you earned all land in the right place.

SEO and development working as one team.

Most migrations lose traffic because the developers and the SEO team work separately. Ours sit on the same team. Before anything moves, our SEO strategists record every URL, ranking and backlink that brings you traffic, and our in-house developers build the new site on WordPress, Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce or a custom stack with that map in hand. Every old URL gets a one-to-one redirect, every page keeps the content, titles, structured data and internal links that earned its rankings, and the new site is crawled and tested on staging before launch. After go-live we watch indexing, rankings and conversions daily and fix anything that slips, fast. Traffic, leads and site health show in your Client Hub before, during and after the move, so a new site becomes a step up, not a setback.

Move your site, keep your traffic growing.

Website migration questions, answered

It depends on the size of the site, the platforms involved and whether we build the new site too. The SEO side of a migration can be quoted as a standalone project or run on an SEO plan, which starts at $2,600 a month: a minimum of 40 hours at $65 an hour, with free setup, and the hours can be used interchangeably between content, link building and web development. If we build the new site, it is quoted as a web design project, with websites starting at $5,000. After a free consultation we send a written proposal with the scope and the price, so you know the cost before any work starts.

If we build the new site, the timeline follows the build: about 4 to 6 weeks for a simple site, up to 4 to 6 months for a custom online store, with revision rounds and response times deciding where you land. The SEO work runs alongside it: URL mapping before design starts, testing in a private development space before launch, and daily monitoring after go-live. The first weeks after launch decide whether traffic holds, so that is when we watch most closely.

Some short-term movement is normal while Google recrawls a new site. Careful URL mapping, one-to-one redirects, carried-over content and pre-launch testing keep it small and short, and daily monitoring after launch catches anything that slips. Your Client Hub shows traffic, leads and site health before, during and after the move.

Before the new site is designed. URL structure, templates and content decisions made early are what protect your rankings, and they cost far less to get right at the start than to fix after launch.

Yes. We can map every URL, set out the redirects and the content, titles and structured data each page needs to keep, test the new site before launch and monitor it afterward, working alongside your developers or another agency. If you'd rather one team handle everything, our developers can build the new site too, with SEO in the plan from the first wireframe.

We move sites onto WordPress, Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce and custom stacks from almost any platform, including Wix, Squarespace and WooCommerce. Common moves include Wix to WordPress, WordPress and WooCommerce to Shopify, BigCommerce to Shopify, and other hosts to ours. Our developers can also build the new site. See Web Design.

Yes. Large catalogs need redirect maps at scale, careful handling of categories, filters and product variants, and closer monitoring after launch. See Enterprise SEO and Ecommerce SEO.

Any big change to your website's platform, domain, URL structure or design, handled so search engines can follow it. Done well, a migration keeps the rankings and traffic you have earned and can grow them; done badly, it can wipe them out overnight.
