My first job was as a receptionist at a dental office. I would file EOB’s, scan charts, and schedule patient visits. The owner had a young daughter with cerebral palsy, and when she wasn’t in school, she would spend some time with me in the office (The Doc McStuffins’ theme song is permanently stuck in my brain – I’ve probably seen every episode!)
I like projects that let me learn about something new! I’m a really curious person, and will rarely turn down the opportunity to get some new perspectives.
Google. I can’t imagine not being able to search all the random questions I have throughout the day. How else will I know how tall Jason Momoa is, or what haircut goes with my face shape?
Everyone here is so friendly! You can tell that each and every person working here is committed to creating a collaborative environment that fosters personal and professional growth.
Growing up, we had a “Computer Room” in the house where the desktop computer was. I distinctly remember the whirring sound of the computer booting up. I can’t say I used my computer time very wisely. I spent most of my time making pixel art and watching terrible YouTube videos.
I would LOVE to have the ability to teleport. Being able to transport myself anywhere in an instant? Sign me up! Goodbye traffic and expensive plane tickets!
The past two jobs I’ve held have been within small businesses. Over the years, I’ve learned how to collaborate with business owners, and introduce digital marketing in a palatable way that allows them to learn and grow for many years to come.
I studied French in school, and have been dreaming about living in France since I was 10. A small house in the countryside… how great does that sound?
Arya Stark from Game of Thrones. I was tempted to pick someone who had an easy life, but how boring would that be?
The first website I created was for Kara Kakes, a specialty cupcake bakery in Franklin Lakes, NJ. The cupcakes basically sell themselves, but the bells and whistles I added to the site certainly helped 😊
