SmartSites is pleased to announce the official launch of Diplomatic Lifestyles’ new website. While the site’s purpose remains the same; to serve as a complete procurement and individual shopping platform for members of diplomatic and foreign service communities, it now features a fresh, modern look that exudes professionalism.

Although Diplomatic Lifestyles ( already had a live website, its design was outdated, which did not do full justice to their professional establishment. To avoid further hurting the perception of their brand, the task of redesigning the website topped Diplomatic Lifestyles’ list of priorities.

The SmartSites team developed a new website that was easy to use, modern looking, and fully responsive. The look and feel of the website were important because Diplomatic Lifestyles wanted to attract an audience from a specific niche: only diplomats and their relatives.

With a fresh website design, Diplomatic Lifestyles departs from the legacy format of a static HTML website. The new site sees everything rehoused in one central space where visitors can browse content based on the following product categories: Watches & Accessories, Eyewear, Fashion, Beauty, Gifts, and Commodities.

Diplomatic Lifestyles can now offer visitors the opportunity to navigate through its extensive product offering with exceptional ease. The fully responsive website also gave users a seamless desktop-to-mobile browsing experience. Visitors will also be able to personalize their online shopping experiences based on the products they plan to purchase.

SmartSites has also married the latest e-commerce capabilities with the client’s website. We have combined a WordPress platform with WooCommerce functionality. Diplomatic Lifestyles’ online store, however, does not include an Add to Cart feature. Diplomats will add their desired products to a Wishlist instead. The site’s admins (who proactively manage their clients’ accounts) will then compile, approve, and submit the Wishlist items as a complete order.

If you have an old website that you wish to redesign, SmartSites is the team to call! Remember, the site’s design shouldn’t be the sole factor that determines whether you should proceed with a project like this. One has to consider other factors, such as the site is taking too long to load (longer than three seconds), lacks basic on-page SEO, doesn’t scale properly on mobile devices, contains dead links, and more! If this is too much for you to process at one go, don’t worry; our web team is always ready to answer your inquiries.
